P&C Executive

P&C internet use code of conduct

The P&C is run by volunteer parents and carers who work on behalf of the parent and carer body to support and enhance the school environment and facilities.

We seek your constructive input on any matter, however, to ensure you think about how you might communicate with us, we have put together a code of conduct for providing comments and using the P&C communications channels, including the website, our Facebook account or Twitter.  Please read them.  The P&C executive reserves the right to remove offensive comments.

Be considerate

Any contribution you make will affect other users and the outcomes of this website, so please take those consequences into account when contributing comments and content. For example, if you are frustrated about something, present the issue in a constructive way, which will assist everyone in dealing with it in the best possible way.

Be respectful

We commit to always treating one another with respect and we ask all contributors to do the same. Disagreement is no excuse for poor behaviour and poor manners. Contributions that include inappropriate language or personal attacks will be removed.

Be yourself

Please use your personal identity when interacting online, including (where required) your email address and real name. This will help with both transparency and accountability.

Be collaborative

Collaboration greatly improves the quality of the outcomes produced. You should aim to collaborate with us and with other contributors where possible. We encourage interested parties to use this website to link up with other interested parties for direct community collaboration and grassroots projects.

Be factual

There are many topics that will be covered on this website, some more volatile than others. Please ensure you check your facts and, where possible, add links and references to your information. It will help us and other website visitors to validate and cross-reference ideas.

When you are unsure, ask

Asking questions avoids many problems and misunderstandings down the road. When asking a question, care must be taken to do so in an appropriate way. Inflammatory or rhetorical questions can detract from productive discussion and outcomes. You can also ask questions by getting in contact with us. However, we have limited time and sometimes an answer may not come immediately so please be patient.
